I haven't had much time for crafting lately. It's not for a lack of wanting to craft, or for a lack of idea's, although they seem to be quickly fleeting from my mind if I don't get the project done then and there, but just life being life and keeping me busy.
This is a project I started before Christmas, and finished a couple of weeks ago. I just adore this mini and how it turned out and just everything about it. I already have idea's for filling it, which is something I usually don't get around to.
You can watch my quick video showing you this mini in detail, and more here.

Notepad
I've recently had a couple of things I've needed to attend where I wanted to take notes.
What better an excuse than to whip up this compact and fun notebook?
I have also stamped various pages through out the notepad.
Have you made any notepad's recently?

Re-Cover!
I haven't had much time to craft lately with the school holidays, i've been busy doing kids craft with my kids and not much for myself. I did however get around to finally recovering a recipe binder i've had for years, but I've wanted to recover for the last year. Here it is...
Here are the flowers I used. They were actually made for me by a friend, Mia's Mummy, I just pulled off the buttons and changed them for some pearls I had that better suited the layout.
Chipboard letters, that I painted, crackle accented, and added a pink look in the cracks using glimmer mist. I got the tutorial for it from here.
Some gorgeous lace and pearls that I draped along the top.
The final look!
I wanted to keep it simple because it's going to get a lot of use holding all my favourite recipes on the cards that came with the binder originally. It will often be left open on a page that i'm working from, so I also wanted the cover to be fairly flat rather than bulky and I worked within that idea.
What do you think?

Duet Mini Album
Here is a mini I just finished embellishing.
It's from the Duet Mini Pattern and kit from Laura Denison. I cannot rave about the talent this woman has. She continually inspires me.
To see the whole mini head on over to my YouTube.

A Bit Late To The Game
I have to admit, i didn't really get the hype, the fuss, i just thought 'OK, to each their own'.
That was until today.
Today i fell in love with Kaisercraft.
I'm in the process of putting together a couple of cards. I send cards off to everyone in my very large extended family for their birthday's. It's a long process with my mother one of 5 children i have quite a few cousins as you would guess. So i sit down once or twice a month and make up cards some simple cards for each member of my family. I make them with that specific person in mind. And then closer to their birthday i post them to them.
So this morning i was going through my "small paper draw" which is just a drawer that has all my smaller papers, 8x8 pads, 6x6 pads, small loose pages. I have a couple of small Kaisercraft pads in there i picked up a long long time ago which i liked, but i can't remember loving. I flicked through them just quickly trying to refresh my mind, i knew there was a page or 2 in each pad i liked, but as i flicked through i fell in love with them. Such gorgeous papers, the colours, the flocking, the embossing, the metallic highlights.
Then i realised, i totally get the Kaisercraft hype.

Hoopla!
Hi guys. It's been a while! We recently moved house, so since my last post i have had to box up all of my crafts, move, then unpack. My crafting space has gotten a lot smaller from a small room to a corner in a small room, but it's still there, and definitely better than nothing!
I have a few things i've made in the time i've been away, but i am still waiting to get my mojo back with the new space. Hopefully soon as i have a very long list of things i want to make.
Anyway here is the first thing i have made since the move for my kids new room

You can see the full album here

I've named this mini "Beautiful Life" and it's made using the "It's a Wrap" pattern from Following The Paper Trail.
